This is a thread to discuss the Panzer Command and Combat Mission article at http://www.tacticalwargamer.com/articles/platform/pck_vs_cmbb.htm
I thought there were some interesting comparisons.
What really surprised me was that I took the CM map, took the forces from the CM matchup, transposed them into an ASL setting, and some veteran ASL players were really excited about the game, declaring it to be a very interesting and balanced looking set of forces. Some expressed a great interest in playing it out. I'm hoping to get a couple of fellows to play it through - I think it would be very interesting to see this scenario played out in as many platforms as possible. I'm hoping to get the time to do this in Steel Panthers as well.

Great review. I am going to try it out even after the Winter Storm disappointment.

I'm encouraged, though, that at least they're still in there pitching. BFC has said we may see their Normandy version of CMX2 out by Christmas, and one would imagine the Russian Front in a year or two. I'm not optimistic that it will live up to the fun factor of CM:BB but we shall see. Panzer Command has more potential at this point, but it could go either way.

My copy of PC Kharkov just arrived. I played the tutorial and it is a good game, not up to the CM series but well worth my time.
I bought it $10 cheaper (as I do all my games) at NWS Games:
